Changes, changes, changes....everything is the same

Well hello faithful blog readers :-)

I wanted to give you an update on our fun lives. Seems like we are getting busy again. Too, busy if you ask me. But, such is life.

So, what are we doing these days? Well, my garden seems to have mostly failed. With the severe lack of rain that we have had these last few months my early crop of tomatos did not turn out well. The skins were very tough and the skins all split open before they were ripe enough to eat, rendering them useless. I think I will try again, but only after the rainy season has commenced full force. All of the pepper plants, corn, and beans have all died, I suspect due to the aphid infestation that I tried to cure by spraying soap solution on the plants. But this is all a learning experience....We will see what I learn next. Interestingly enough, the little lemon tree is thriving, as are the rosemary and two mint plants that I planted out back. The inside herbs are not doing as well as hoped, though.

In the house news, Alex has begun, and mostly finished the work on his library. He took a week of vacation time off last week and partially used it to paint the spare room a very nice shade of burgundy. I really like the way that it looks and think that once he finishes decorating the room that it will look spectacular.

Update on the computer. GOd had sustained our computer until Alex's school class was over for the summer...and now the computer is finished. So we are hoping to replace the motherboard (which seems to be the problem) and hopefully it will be no more expensive than that.

A Shout Out to Our Peeps

Hey, so now that I have changed jobs I work close to a library and sometimes I come here on my lunch break. This gives me more time to blog! Hopefully this will help keep you all more up to date on the really boring stuff going on in our lives (j/k).
